What is interesting here is that, they try out the 2 Coasters songs . Searchin' , they did with the Beach Boys , and Youngblood would show up with Ratdog .
Sure seems noisy for a "Soundcheck" . Wish this was in a little better sound quality, but I am grateful what Mister Miller (etc.) have given us .

"Youngblood" B/W "Searchin"' was a Coasters "single", both tunes written by Leiber & Stoller


This sound check re-emphasizes the fact that the Grateful Dead was the longest lived, most successful and best loved garage band of the rock and roll era.

Would've been nice to see how they would've developed these two tunes

Youngblood made an even earlier appearance in Bob's side projects.
